One day? One single day? For all their tireless work, support and enthusiasm, is Mother’s Day all the time we set aside to celebrate moms? To give moms the amount of love they deserve, Portal from Facebook launched the world’s first-ever #MothersWeek. This weeklong event supported and celebrated moms of all types with content featuring experts, advocates, giveaways and nonstop engagement across Portal’s social platforms.
To make moms feel truly seen, Portal created videos acknowledging the realities of motherhood by capturing the daily lives of real moms. Portal took a deeper dive into motherhood by partnering with mom influencers on Instagram and Facebook to educate, empower and create a safe space to open up the conversation surrounding the real and raw moments of parenting like pandemic parenting, raising disabled children, adoption, balancing work and family, infertility, IVF, and postpartum body positivity.
The campaign generated overwhelming support from diverse brands like Diet Coke, Jeni’s Ice Cream, Kindbody, Tidal, Pocky, Anthropologie, Belly Bandit, and many others who rallied behind Portal’s initiative, bringing more visibility to #MothersWeek and making moms everywhere feel seen and appreciated.
